The Overland Telegraph (MGM, 1929). One Sheet (27 X 41). Tim McCoy was signed by MGM to star in a series of western pictures that portrayed the American frontier. The films were superior in production values and gave McCoy the opportunity to act alongside talented actresses such as Joan Crawford and Jean Arthur. By the early 1930s, when McCoy left MGM, he had become one of Hollywoods most popular western stars. This film came at the very end of the silent era when the medium had reached its zenith. This colorful stone lithograph portrays McCoy fighting off a band of attacking Indians, a popular theme of the early westerns. Fine.
