Caption:
The Run-Around (RKO, 1931). One Sheet (27.5 X 41). , Filmed in 100% Technicolor, this comedy-drama stars Mary Brian as a Broadway dancer trying to live a principled life, while surrounded by her gold-digging castmates. She sticks to her convictions, refusing to accept gifts from admiring patrons who expect a certain something in return, and finds herself an upstanding gentleman (Geoffrey Kerr). Brian was under contract to Paramount at the time, and was borrowed by Radio Pictures for this film. She replaced Mary Astor, who was originally slated for the lead role. The colors on this stone litho poster are surprisingly bright and saturated given its age, and only light touchup was needed to the folds and pinholes in the corners. Very Fine+ on Linen.
