An Ealing Studios production, the film stars Arthur Wontner, Ian Hunter, and Graham Soutten, and is based on Arthur Conan Doyles second Sherlock Holmes story. The master detective is enlisted to protect a young woman after shes tormented by an escaped killer. However, when the woman is abducted, Holmes and Watson must infiltrate the citys seedy underbelly to solve the crime. Simply a brilliant collectible, this piece only shows pinholes in the upper and lower background that do not affect the artwork, and touch up to light fold wear. Very Fine on Linen.
