The Yellow Menace (Unity Sales, 1916). One Sheet (27 X 41) Chapter 10: The Yellow Shadow. Produced by low-budget filmmaker William Steiner, this 16-chapter preparedness serial starred veteran stage actor Edwin Stevens as a fanatical Mongolian bent on destroying the good old U.S.A. From the earliest days of the cinema, serials had become a product designed to lure audiences into theatres week after week. This extremely rare chapter sheet features highly detailed stone lithography. The poster has a few minor edge tears and chips, including a chip repaired with archival tape. There are a few very tiny holes in the background and minor chips on the fold lines. There is an extra vertical fold. Fine.
