All Around Frying Pan (FBO, 1925). One Sheet (27 X 41) Style A. , Silent Western star Fred Thomson was one of the early cowboy greats, appearing in many films with his loyal horse, Silver King. The cinematic wrangler rivaled Tom Mix in popularity before his early death at age 38 from tetanus. In this highly likable FBO oater, Thomson is a drifter who gets arrested, but on the way to the clink demonstrates his rodeo skills, and is hired immediately by a local rancher. Hes not quite in the clear, though, as his sketchy past makes him a perfect suspect for a Wells Fargo robbery. Thomson scuffles with one of the true crooks on this incredible stone litho one sheet, with Silver King looking ready to intervene on behalf of his loyal master. Not offered previously by Heritage, this poster presents a fine opportunity for collectors of the Western genre. After professional touch-up, fold wear and chips in the left border are hardly detectable. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
