Ball of Fire (RKO, 1941). One Sheet (27 X 41). , The master director of screwball comedies, Howard Hawks, directs this marvelous film with a script by Billy Wilder and Charles Brackett. A professor (Gary Cooper) is writing a dictionary of American slang, and uses Sugarpuss OShea (Barbara Stanwyck) as his eloquent subject. Although Heritage has offered several other formats for this film, this is the first U.S. one sheet, making it an important find for fans of Cooper and Stanwyck. Touchup has corrected pinholes, a chip from the lower right corner and small paper loss in the lower two crossfolds. There is also a small chip in the vertical fold in the top of Coopers head. Expert restoration has corrected these concerns and the poster displays very well. This is a rare commodity among screwball comedy fans! Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
