Before I Hang (Columbia, 1940). One Sheet (27.25 X 41). , This ominous one sheet features Boris Karloff as a doctor convicted of a mercy killing and sentenced to death. On the eve of his execution, he is given an experimental serum made from a murderers blood. Unexpectedly, he is granted a stay of execution and the serum turns him homicidal. Karloffs performance is truly the spark of genius behind all of these Columbia Mad Doctor films, and very enjoyable even today. Professional restoration has diminished the appearance of fold wear, tears in the bottom border with on extending into the G of Hang, scattered pinholes, a horizontal crease in the bottom section, a chip in the bottom and left borders, and one in the in of Grinde.
