One Sheet (27 X 41.25). , Although not as well remembered as Tom Mix or Hoot Gibson, Roy Stewart was one of the best known cowboy screen heroes from the silent era. Stewart was quite adept at portraying legendary Old Western figures such as Daniel Boone and Buffalo Bill. He also faired well as a leading man in drama pieces such as Sparrows (1926) opposite Mary Pickford. This picture co-stars Kathryn McGuire, Cullen Landis, and Sheldon Lewis. In vivid stone litho color, Stewart thunders to the rescue from evil railroad surveyors, as chief White Spear threatens to start a buffalo stampede in the background. A gorgeous display piece, the poster (a Heritage first) has had professional touchup to small chips in the top horizontal fold, a sliver of missing paper at the bottom left, and minor chips in the borders.
