Caption:
Cover Girl (Columbia, 1944). One Sheet (27 X 41) Style A. , Rita Hayworth and Gene Kelly shine in this comedy/musical from director Charles Vidor. Hayworth plays Rusty Parker, a woman whose ambition is to become a Broadway star. To achieve her goal, she has to leave the small dinner theater where she works and her true love, Danny McGuire, played by Kelly. At the time she made this film, Hayworth was still primarily seen as a singing and dancing star. It wouldnt be long, however, before her talent for portraying femme fatales would become obvious in such classics as Gilda (1946), The Lady from Shanghai (1947), and Salome (1953). With similar artwork to the three sheet, this Style A one sheet has never before been offered by Heritage. It has been restored and touch-up applied to three tears in the top border that extend into the image, a top left missing corner, and chips in the left border. Fine on Linen.
