D.O.A. (United Artists, 1950). One Sheet (27 X 41). , This top-notch film noir from director Rudolph Mate begins famously with CPA Frank Bigelow retelling his own murder to the police, in flashback. Unwittingly caught in the middle of an illegal shipment of stolen chemicals, Bigelow is poisoned by an unknown criminal and has only his secretary Paula (Pamela Britton) to help him solve the case before his death. By the end of the film, Bigelows murder is recorded by the police as dead on arrival. Professionally restored, this one sheet had fold wear, cross fold separations, chips in three borders and one in the top left corner, and edge tears at the top of the right border, with one extending into the image. There was a small hole below the credits, and one at the top right. Posters from this suspense classic, with their dramatic artwork, are always high in demand. Fine on Linen.
