Fantasia (RKO, 1940). One Sheet (27 X 41) Style B. , Its been several years since Heritage has presented this elusive, magical poster, hailing from Walt Disneys animated masterpiece developed from a short-subject cartoon that was based on the Paul Dukas musical piece The Sorcerers Apprentice. Mickey Mouse starred in the eight-minute short that was orchestrated by Leopold Stokowski. Disney and Stokowski both liked the finished product so well that they decided to expand the production from a short subject into a full two hour feature. Seven classical music selections were incorporated into this animation masterpiece including: Bachs Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, Tchaikovskys Nutcracker Suite, Beethovens Pastorale Symphony and Schuberts Ave Maria. The style B one sheet pictures the famous mouse himself as the apprentice, and this copy is in admirable condition. Prior to restoration there were two small chips and tears in the top border, one small chip in the bottom border and right border, and touchup has been applied to the folds.
