Half Shot at Sunrise (RKO, 1930). One Sheet (27 X 41). , After being featured in three of RKOs big budget musicals, the comedy team of Bert Wheeler and Robert Woolsey got their own starring film - and its one of their best. Set in Paris during World War I, the duo are AWOL from the army and pursuing their commanding officers daughter (Dorothy Lee) and an exotic French woman (Leni Stengel). The jokes and songs come fast and furious, with plenty of double-entendres, until they wind up on the Front, for a harrowing scene in the trenches. One sheets for this early sound pre-Code film never come up for sale and the colors on this art deco piece are exceptionally bright with white, fresh paper. There are only small pinholes and faint bends in the corners, and pinpoint crossfold separations. Very Fine+.
