Hot Off the Press (Pathe, 1922). One Sheet (27 X 41). The Australian born Snub Pollard was one of the early comedy pioneers with Sennett and Essaney Studios. He was the supporting comic in many of the early Harold Lloyd comedies. He finally took up residence at Hal Roach Studios, where he produced under his own unit some 100 plus one and two-reel comedy shorts. This beautiful and early poster for one of the Pollards short subjects shows the comic star and his frequent leading lady Marie Mosquini. There is slight fold line wear, one tear at the bottom in the credits, and border imperfections including areas of paper loss, small tears, and pinholes. The poster has been professionally restored, rendering these defects hard to detect. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
