Tom Mix in Love in the West (Exclusive Features, Inc., R-Early 1920s). Stock One Sheet (27.5 X 40.5). , This highly unique poster features a beautiful stone litho rendering of cowboy legend Tom Mix, presumably taking aim at a local band of ruffians. There is not a documented Mix film with the title Love in the West. Given the nature of the relationship between Selig Polyscope and distributor Exclusive Features during the early 1920s, we believe this is a reissue stock poster for Mix films that bears the title of an unmade picture. Its a terrific image, and for fans of the Western hero, its an interesting and unprecedented find. Its possible the poster has been trimmed on each side, and touchup has been applied to small chips at the cross fold (face), creases in the top left corner, and pinholes in the borders. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
