Serves You Right (Warner Brothers, 1935). One Sheet (27 X 41). , Shemp Howard, the often underrated Stooge, made a largely unknown series of solo short comedies during the 1930s for Vitaphone. Filmed in New York and mostly directed by Lloyd French, some of Howards funniest bits are played out in shorts such as His First Flame, Corn on the Cop, Why Pay Rent?, and Art Trouble. In this entry, Shemp is a process server who dresses in drag in an attempt to subpoena a racketeer. Sporting a shiner and a bandage on this fabulous one sheet, it appears Shemp may have not been successful! Shows only top edge wear with small tears and paper loss, pinpoint cross fold separation, and an extra vertical fold. Crisp and colorful, this rarely seen poster is a must for Stooges devotees. Very Fine-.
