Caption:
The Fire Brigade (MGM, 1926). One Sheet (27 X 41). , Charles Ray, one of the leading men on the MGM roster, portrays a firefighter in love with the daughter of a crooked politician. The politician, as coincidence would have it, owns a series of buildings that just happen to fall victim to devastating fires. May McAvoy plays the politicians daughter, and was at the height of her career. Unfortunately, McAvoy would not make the transition from silent to sound films. This was an action picture that MGM really got behind, as they used the new Technicolor two-strip color film stock to shoot it, donating a portion of the films profits to fund a college for firefighters. The poster has a few tiny tears in the edges and a small chip off of the lower right corner. There is also a small bit of paper loss just above the lower horizontal fold on the vertical fold line and there is a small bit of separation at the center points. These imperfections are minor as the poster is really quite nice, with brilliant colors and is completely unrestored. Very Fine-.
