Caption:
The Flying Cat (MGM, 1952). One Sheet (27 X 41). , In one of the best Tom and Jerry cartoons, Jerry comes to the aid of a wayward canary and Tom takes delight in trying to capture both of them. It was the usual sight gags from Hanna and Barbera but in this case, they came faster than the typical cartoon. The scene depicted on this scarce one sheet is from the cartoons highlight as Tom crafts a pair of wings in order to capture the canary in his nest. There was a chip off of the upper right corner into the artwork which has been professionally reattached. In addition there was a small chip off of the upper right corner just into the artwork. The borders have had some airbrush work and there has been a bit of additional airbrush applied to the white of Toms lower wing. There was color touchup to the last two letters in the title and there is a crack in the paper between the E and the R in Jerrys credit. The professional conservation work on this poster was performed beautifully and the poster now displays very well. Fine on Linen.
