The Keys of the Righteous (Paramount, 1918). One Sheet (28 X 42). , Enid Bennett began her entertainment career in her native Australia, traveling in a repertory troupe. She moved to the U.S. to try her hand in Hollywood, landing work with the Thomas Ince studios. Bennetts most significant silent film role was as Maid Marian in Douglas Fairbanks Robin Hood (1922). Four years prior to that great role, Bennett stars as a downtrodden girl caring for her dying mother on a desolate patch of earth along the U.S.- Canadian border. Her estranged father (Josef Swickard) turns up on their doorstep one cold night, but the road to reconciliation is a long one. Restoration has addressed chips and tears in the borders and image area, and the gorgeous stone litho poster now displays very well. Very Good/Fine on Linen.
