The Little Giant (First National, 1933). One Sheet (27 X 41). , This is one of the unsung gems of Edward G. Robinsons long career. Thanks to his lively, inventive performance, and some spiffy pre-Code enforcement dialogue, this film still entertains today. Robinson is a retired bootlegger gone to Santa Barbara to become literally crawling in culture. In keeping with the hilarious pretense of the plot, the publicity department of First National hired one of the top California artists to paint their one sheet. Irving Sinclair was a master portraitist, as seen in this great one sheet, with Robinson flanked by Mary Astor and Helen Vinson as the saint and sinner of the film. The piece is signed in the plate boldly by the artist. Great pro linenbacking, but the poster needed little restoration other than slight fold line touch-up, minor foxing in the credits, and corner pinholes. Very Fine+ on Linen.
