The Lone Ranger (Republic, 1938). Stock One Sheet (27.5 X 41). , With his faithful companion, Tonto, the masked Lone Ranger makes his cinematic debut in this thrilling Republic serial. Seen on horseback on this rare stock one sheet, the hero and his trusted steed, Silver, are beautifully rendered against a blazing Western sunset. Very few signs of wear can be detected on the poster (right border chip, touchup to folds). The poster appears to have some amount of fading, but we are not certain to what degree, as the colors still appear vibrant. Originally broadcast over the airwaves in 1933, radio episodes of the Lone Ranger captured the imaginations of many, and took the nation by storm. It wasnt long after that Republic Studios, the leading producer of serials at the time, would take notice. This very rare piece is the first poster released to the theatrical market for the showing of the first appearance of the Masked Ranger! The other posters for the serial are the chapter sheets with very different artwork. A unique find for Lone Ranger and Western collectors! Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
