Caption:
The Night Hawk (Hodkinson Pictures, 1924). One Sheet (27 X 41). , One of the most popular Western stars of the silent era, Harry Carey was at the height of his career when he starred in this thrilling drama about a New York gangster who needs to hide out from the law and takes a job as a gunslinger for Fred Malatesta and heads West. Carey has second thoughts about his intended victim, the sheriff, when he falls for his daughter, Claire Adams. One sheets for these early and important Westerns are scare, to say the least, and this gorgeous, colorful stone litho sheet is marvelous to behold. It had fold wear with tears at the bottom of the vertical fold, small chips in the left and top borders, and an area of missing paper in the lower right section of the credits that includes the entire bottom border. Professional restoration has returned this treasure to a flawless appearance. Very Good+ on Linen.
