Caption:
The Saint in London (RKO, 1939). One Sheet (27 X 41). , When Leslie Charteris created his character Simon Templar (whose initials were ST- and hence, The Saint), he never realized he was creating one of the most unique characters to star in one of the longest running series in the movies and television as well. Based very loosely on Robin Hood, Templar (George Sanders) steals not from the rich, but from the criminals and then he repays their victims -- after keeping a small percentage as his recovery fee. This poster is a beautiful example of the series. There is one pinhole in each corner and a few additional pinholes in the borders. There is a slight bit of separation at the center points and a few very tiny edge tears, but otherwise, this is a really clean copy of this detective classic. Very Fine.
