Caption:
The Western Code (Columbia, 1932). One Sheet (27 X 41). Tim McCoy was born in Saginaw, Michigan and attended college at St. Ignatius in Chicago. It was there that he saw his first Wild West show, which prompted him to leave school and head west, where he would find work on a large Wyoming ranch. It was at the ranch that he learned to be an expert horseman and roper and developed an astute understanding of the customs and languages of Indian tribes. McCoy was serving as a as territorial Indian agent when he broke into films, and quickly rose to stardom appearing in a series of Westerns that span from the mid -1920s through the 1930s. There is light fold line wear with just a touch more at the fold line intersections, border chips and corner pinholes. The professional restoration performed on the poster has rendered these defects difficult to detect. This colorful one sheet offers an outstanding image of this early Western cinema hero. Very Fine on Linen.
