Caption:
Tim McCoys Real Wild West (1938). One Sheet (27 X 41) Style D. , In 1938, Tim McCoy, one of the biggest Western stars of the late 1920s and early 1930s, produced what was to be the last of the traditional Wild West shows made popular by such legendary figures as Buffalo Bill Cody. Featuring a traveling cast of professional cowboy and rodeo riders and authentic American Indians, his show was only to last approximately a year before it folded. This is a rare example of the stone litho stock one sheet printed by Tooker-Moore that was used to advertise the shows appearance as it toured across the country. With its colorful, romantic imagery of the Old West, this beautiful poster is a gem for fans of the genre. Signs of wear include stains in the top, left and bottom border, pinholes in the borders, tears in the borders that extend slightly into the background with archival tape on the verso, and small chips in the borders. Folded, Fine+. , , Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
