Welcome Danger (Paramount, 1929). One Sheet (27 X 41) Style B Silent Version. , One of the top comedians of the silent era, Harold Lloyd first entered sound pictures with this classic, which was shown in both silent and sound versions, as some theaters in 1929 had not made the transition to the new technology. Lloyd produced his own films at this point in his career, and this was his highest grossing picture to-date, released just weeks before the stock market crash. Lloyd stars as a botanist who is forced into taking over his fathers job as chief of police. Through several death-defying feats, a specialty of Lloyds, and a romance with ing??nue Barbara Kent, Lloyd comes through in a big way, taking down a drug ring led by the Dragon (Charles Middleton). Paper for Lloyd titles is always scarce and highly popular, and this stone litho beauty is a real prize. It has been professionally restored to address a small area of missing paper on the left side of the image of Lloyd, a chip in the lower left corner, and a tear at the right side. This is truly an unforgettable image of the hapless boy next door. Fine on Linen.
