Caption:
Young Eagles (Paramount, 1930). One Sheet (27 X 41) Style A. , William A. Wellman, legendary action director of Wings (1927), returns to the aviation genre with this WWI drama starring Charles Buddy Rogers and Jean Arthur. Rogers is a flyer who falls in love with Arthur, not knowing she is an agent for the US. government. Both are out to capture the notorious German pilot The Grey Eagle, played by Paul Lukas. Another success for Wellman, this top drama features some impressive aerial photography. Rogers, who was a pilot in real life, would go on to become a flight instructor during WWII and was married to Mary Pickford for over forty years. This very rare and stunning stone litho poster had only a few pinholes in the image area, and light fold wear, which has been addressed with professional restoration. Offered here for the first time, this gorgeous sheet with portraits of the stars, is not likely to be seen again anytime soon. Very Fine on Linen.
