Caption:
A Harem Knight (Path??, 1926). One Sheet (27 X 41). , Ben Turpin, the silent cinemas cross-eyed comic, began his career at Essanay Studios in Chicago as part-time utility comedian and part-time studio janitor. He later graduated to playing opposite Essanays newest comedian Charlie Chaplin. From the late teens up until his retirement in the late twenties, Turpin was always at the top of his game with his spectacular physical comedy. Offered here is a gorgeous stone lithograph one sheet from a comedy he did with director Eddie Cline. Cline would later go on to direct W.C. Fields in his greatest screen comedies. The poster shows only pinholes in the top border, a tear in the top border, and edge wear with tears. Rolled, Very Fine.
