Romance of the Redwoods (Paramount-Artcraft, 1917). One Sheet (27.75 X 40.75). , Hot on the heels of The Poor Little Rich Girl (1917), this film was made in the period of Mary Pickfords meteoric rise to Hollywood stardom. The period drama, directed by Cecil B. DeMille, tells of a young woman who travels to Gold Rush California to live with her uncle, unknown to her, after her mothers death. Upon arriving she finds her uncle is dead and that an outlaw has assumed his identity. This is a gorgeous and rare stone litho poster. Restoration has been applied to several clean tears in the upper border extending into the artwork, one into the word the of the title. There were several clean tears from the lower border into the artwork as well. Wonderful conservation and slight restoration has made this classic example display worthy in the best of collections. Very Fine- on Linen.
