Captain Video, Master of the Stratosphere (Columbia, 1951). One Sheet (27 X 41) Chapter 13 - - Mystery of Station X. , This Columbia Super-Serial represents the first time a television show had been made into a film. It had everything there is to love about low-budget cliff-hangers...acting that was mailed in, sets made out of painted cardboard, line drawing animation special FX, and some of the most delightfully convoluted science-babble jargon that ever graced the screen...(where can we get one of the Captains best weapons...a Cosmic Ray Vibrator???). This drop-dead period look one sheet has art by the illustrator, Douglas P. Cravath, and features the attacking robot army in the mid section. There are pinholes in corners and background, fold wear, corner creases, a chip in the lower right corner, and paper tape on the fold lines on the verso. Fine.
