Caption:
Chasing the Limited (Universal, 1915). One Sheet (27 X 41). , This very special one sheet is from the earliest days of Universal Studios, which was founded in 1912 by Carl Laemmle, and stars Wellington Playter and Marie Walcamp, who starred in over one hundred pictures in her career. With a stunning depiction of a locomotive, and an inset of Walcamp, in lush stone litho by Morgan Litho, this is a gorgeous poster in exceptional condition. It is mounted on muslin, as was the custom in the early days of cinema. As these posters were often reused for multiple venues, the muslin made them more durable than they would otherwise have been. It shows only a minor tear at the bottom crossfold, and the left and right edges are folded. Posters from this time period just do not show up in this nice of condition, so do not let this rare opportunity to a piece of cinematic history pass you by. Very Fine on Muslin.
