Caption:
Dance Team (Fox, 1932). One Sheet (27 X 41). , This romantic tale of struggling New York City entertainers who find both success and love begins with Jimmy Mulligan (James Dunn), an ambitious out-of-work Bostonian, who meets Poppy Kirk (Sally Eilers), recently fired from her job as a cigarette girl, when they both dance some steps in front of a radio shop in New York City. Like-minded in their desire to make it as dance stars, they team up to become a popular duo on the small club circuit, and eventually establish themselves as a crowd favorite in more esteemed venues. Beautiful stone litho drawings of the stars capture the ballroom glitz and panache, Eilers perched on a glistening trophy as Dunn leans in, obviously captivated. The poster is in beautiful condition, as restoration has addressed pinholes in the corners, a tear in the bottom border, a cross fold separation, fold wear, and a chip in the upper left. Very Fine on Linen.
