Caption:
General Nuisance (Columbia, 1941). One Sheet (28 X 41). , In the late 1930s, silent film comedian Buster Keaton joined Columbias short subject roster, the last resort for two-reel comics in that era, and made ten films from 1939 to 1941. With Three Stooges director Jules White at the helm, Keaton turned out these comedies, which echoed that of the Stooges, in three days apiece. In this entry, Keaton is a millionaire who runs into a couple of Army nurses who are infatuated with men in uniform. So he promptly enlists. Posters from these later Keaton efforts are very scarce as are the Stooges posters of the period, due in fact that few theater owners bought the posters for a short subject. Thus there were fewer printed and fewer ever kept. This poster has a folded bottom border, pinholes in the corners and around the outer border. There is minor fold separation and crossfold wear. Fine/Very Fine.
