Caption:
Hi-Yo Silver (Republic, 1940). One Sheet (27 X 41). , It was the beginning of an era. When Republic Pictures decided to create an on-screen version of the hit radio series, The Lone Ranger, they believed it was better suited for the serials. And it turned out to be one of the most exciting the studio had ever produced, using the plot device of trying to discover who the Lone Ranger really is. After its release in 1938, it was re-cut and released as a feature film in 1940. This poster is a true rarity, and this is the first time it has been offered by Heritage. It has a small chip off of the upper left corner, pinholes in the borders, staining along the bottom edge, a bit of separation along the fold lines and tape on the verso reinforcing some of the folds. Folded, Fine.
