Remarks:
The title is very much pre-code and nothing with the word Hell would be used in a title for the next 30 years in Hollywood

Caption:
Merrily We Go to Hell (Paramount, 1932). One Sheet (27 X 41). , Sylvia Sidney stars as a spoiled heiress who runs away and marries a reporter played by Fredric March, who is a neer-do-well and also an abusive drunk. Fed up with his flirting with femme fatale Adrianne Allen, and his drinking, Sidney leaves her new husband, only to find she is pregnant. The title is very much pre-code and nothing with the word Hell would be used in a title for the next 30 years in Hollywood. Cary Grant can be seen in a small role as Charlie Baxter, one of his earliest screen appearances. This terrific poster has pinholes in the corners, crossfold separations with minor paper loss, two small chips at the top, and wrinkles in the borders. With its striking stone litho artwork of these top stars, this pre-Code beauty is sure to be a hit with collectors. Fine+.
