Caption:
Our Blushing Brides (MGM, 1930). One Sheet (27 X 41) Sound Style. , Joan Crawford worked steadily in pictures since her debut in 1925 but it was her role as Diana Medford in the 1928 hit Our Dancing Daughters that began her rise to stardom, impressing audiences as well as MGM studio heads. This stunning stone litho one sheet is from her third film in the trio of pictures Crawford would make with fellow flapper and party girl Anita Page, after Our Dancing Daughters, and Our Modern Maidens, which are both silent films. Sound pictures were just gaining popularity and studios released films in both silent and sound versions, to accommodate theaters which had not yet made the transition, and this sheet is from the sound version. Crawford and Page co-star with Dorothy Sebastian and Robert Montgomery. By 1930, Crawford certainly earned a full portrait on a one sheet, and this is one of the finest we have come across . The poster has been professionally restored to address minor edge tears and a chip in the left border, small crossfold separations, and fold wear. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
