Caption:
Pecks Bad Girl (Goldwyn, 1918). One Sheet (27 X 41). , The daughter of a vaudevillian musician, the teenaged Mabel Normand began modeling for famed artists Charles Gibson and James Montgomery Flagg. Soon thereafter she entered the world of film, working for Biograph Studios in New York where she met and fell in love with a young actor named Mack Sennett. Normand and Sennett left Biograph and set up Sennetts Keystone Studios in Southern California. One of the most influential women and early comedians in silent cinema, Normands life would be cut tragically short by tuberculosis at the age of 34. This marvelous stone litho one sheet, one of two copies known, depicts a sweet, apple-cheeked image of Normand at the height of her career. Careful attention through professional restoration has been given to multiple tears and chips in the borders and missing paper in the left and upper right, leaving this poster showcase ready. Good/Very Good on Linen.
