Caption:
Plutos Dream House (RKO, 1940). One Sheet (27 X 41). , Lee Millar voices Pluto and Walt Disney himself portrays Mickey Mouse in this classic Technicolor domestic adventure. When Pluto digs up a magic lamp in the backyard, Mickey is granted three wishes. The first wish is a new doghouse for his faithful pet, which magically gets built by invisible hands working the tools. His next wish is for a bath for Pluto, which turns out to be far more complicated when a radio is broken and the lamp interprets a recipe on a cooking show to be directions from Mickey. Poor Pluto is rolled, and frozen in aspic rather than bathed. Millar was a regular as Plutos voice until his death in 1941, when Pinto Colvig took over for the next twenty years. Prior to professional restoration, this fun one sheet had tears in the borders, a chip in the top border, and chips in the bottom corners. It now displays very well and will be a highlight to any early Disney collection. Fine on Linen.
