Caption:
Roaring Rails (PDC, 1924). One Sheet (27 X 41). , Harry Carey was born and raised in the Bronx, attended a military academy and studied law at NYU before trying his hand as cowboy, railway superintendent, author, lawyer and playwright. Ultimately, Careys burly frame and rugged features destined him to become one of the first stars of the Western film genre, his most popular role being the virtuous outlaw Cheyenne Harry. That franchise spanned three decades, from 1916 to 1936, with Roaring Rails filmed in 1924. Carey was the father of Harry Carey, Jr., also an accomplished actor. A beautiful stone litho captures a tense moment in this action packed Western, and is a first time offer from Heritage. Minor signs of handling include fold wear, chips, tears, and paper loss in the borders, which have had touch-up. Fine on Linen.
