San Antonio (Warner Brothers, Late 1940s). First Post-War Release Italian 4 - Foglio (55 X 77.5). , Errol Flynn would trade in his sword for a gun in eight Western productions while under contract for Warner Brothers. Typically, at the beginning of these films some sort of dialogue explained his Australian accent. The audiences didnt care, and most all of the movies were profitable hits for the studio. The stunning Italian 4-foglio was designed by Luigi Martinati, and this example has been beautifully restored on linen. Touchup to small tears and two chips in the top border, top left corner chip, chips in the left and right border, a tiny chip in Flynns hat, fold wear, a chip in the bottom left corner, and pinholes and a chip in the bottom border. Fine/Very Fine on Linen. , , Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
