Remarks:
This was the third entry in the MGM/Johnny Weissmuller franchise and certainly the most expensive to produce. Easily considered the most violent of the six films Weissmuller and O'Sullivan would make together, it was due to that factor that when originally previewed it received disastrous reviews and was heavily edited before being released.

Tarzan Escapes (MGM, 1936). One Sheet (27 X 41) Style D. , This was the third entry in the MGM/Johnny Weissmuller franchise and certainly the most expensive to produce. Jane (Maureen OSullivan) is visited by friends in this entry, who want her to return to civilization with them. Though one of the visitors has their eye on capturing Tarzan to take back and exhibit as a prize. Easily considered the most violent of the six films Weissmuller and OSullivan would make together, it was due to that factor that when originally previewed it received disastrous reviews and was heavily edited before being released. Offered in this lot is a poster Heritage has never offered before. It is the beautiful and original stone litho style D one sheet to this classic film. Other than an extra vertical fold that runs through the poster in two places, the poster is in absolutely spectacular unused condition. Very Fine+.
