Caption:
The Cats Meow (Path??, 1924). One Sheet (27 X 41). , Harry Langdon stars as a bashful young man who takes his lady (Alice Day) to an establishment with a reputation in this comedy short. After he is pounded by ruffians, he is hired on as a cop, tasked with cleaning the place up. This was only Langdons sixth screen appearance and predates his greatest work in The Strong Man (1926) and Long Pants (1927) both directed by Frank Capra. He is one of the great silent film comedians whose work though admired today by historians, is largely forgotten by the public. Featuring gorgeous stone litho artwork, this poster had a small hole in the left border, and minor crossfold separation. Restoration has addressed these issues. Touchup work has been done to the folds. Very Fine on Linen.
