Caption:
The Flying Marine (Columbia, 1929). One Sheet (27 X 41) Style B. Actor Ben Lyon was a second-tier actor for many years, and never really managed the great jump to stardom. He co-starred in a number of famous silent and early sound features including Hells Angels. He married famous actress Bebe Daniels in 1930 and they lived together until her death in 1971. This beautiful stone litho poster is from an early Columbia sound feature starring Lyon. This one sheet has light fold wear with small cross fold separation and minor edge tears. There is a small chip on the left side, a corner crease on the lower left, and pin holes. There is a chip on the lower left that was originally reattached with tape, which left a small stain. The poster has been mounted on linen with only light touch up. The linen is trimmed to the edge of the poster. From the collection of Jim Ashton. Very Fine+ on Linen.
