Caption:
The Haunted House (Metro, 1921). One Sheet (27 X 41). , After three very successful years of appearing with Roscoe Fatty Arbuckle in comedy shorts, Buster Keaton branched out on his own, directing and writing his own films. This iconic picture is his sixth film as the star and features Keaton as a bank teller who accidentally glues bank notes to himself and is taken for a thief, then escapes to an abandoned house which appears to be haunted. This is one of Keatons best, with memorable scenes such as a trick staircase that leads to the amazing stunts Keaton is loved for. This poster is exceedingly rare, one of only a handful known to exist, and is from the Todd Feiertag collection, which was auctioned by Sothebys in 1997. It is in remarkable condition having only corner pinholes and minor chips in three borders which have all been professionally restored. The color of this stone litho is simply stunning to behold. Very Fine on Paper.
