Caption:
The Life of Emile Zola (Warner Brothers, 1937). One Sheet (27 X 41). , Paul Muni earned an Academy Award nomination for his depiction of Emile Zola, a true-life political activist and novelist who fought the French government for wrongfully imprisoning a man on Devils Island. Joseph Schildkraut won an Oscar for his supporting role, and the film brought home a win for the Best Picture Academy Award. This scarce one sheet which Heritage has offered only once before and featuring a terrific stone litho rendering of Muni, had a chip in the right border, and an tear below the image and above the title. Professional restoration has addressed these issues, and touchup work has been done to the folds. Fine+ on Linen.
