In 1876, Grandma Miller served thirty-six diners in her little boarding house. This soon grew into a cafeteria seating four hundred and serving more than 5,000 meals daily. For a time, there were Miller Cafeterias in Duluth, Rochester, and sicteen other locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Miller's Cafeteria closed in 1964 after 88 years in business.
